Morning Cocktail


When you have lemons...make lemon water! First thing first, ALWAYS WASH YOUR LEMONS PEOPLE!!! Important life lessons were learned as I culled produce at that farm stand after college, for example, our food is dirty! So many hands touch the things we eat...🙌🏻🤝🙌🏻 wash all the produce all the time 😘

The most important note about this Ritual is that we need to re-hydrate after sleep if we want to have any chance at feeling good throughout the day. At least a 16oz glass of room temp or hot water, as cold water can be counterproductive to digestion. The aim of the lemon or lime is to stoke the digestive fires a bit, provide electrolytes, and get your bowels moving. Lemon is warming to the body, while lime tends to be cooling. Let your intuition guide you. The salt adds minerals that help your body with absorption. You also do not have to add anything, just a glass of warm water in the morning can do wonders!

- [ ] Add lemons/limes to your weekly shopping list
- [ ] Wash Your Lemons
- [ ] Keep a cut up lemon in your fridge
- [ ] Have room temperature water in a beautiful vessel in your space
- [ ] Or, turn the kettle on
- [ ] Bless your water with gratitude as you pour it 🌊
- [ ] Squeeze some lemon/lime in there! How much is up to you
- [ ] Add a dash or two of high quality mineral sea salt if needed (I personally only add salt when I’ve been sweating a lot, you do you)
- [ ] Use a reusable straw to reduce lemon damage to your enamel (also, brush your teeth after ;)
- [ ] Drink it down and feel nourished 🙏
- [ ] Drink plain water throughout your day adding gratitude with every pour

This is one of the most important yet simplest and easiest rituals we can bring into our day! When you want to make lasting changes to your routine, it helps to take small bites and chew slowly. If you’ve struggled to maintain a routine use mastering this practice this week as a gateway to building more new rituals into your day. If you can do this for 7 days you can do it everyday.
